RULES: This event will use the “Keep what you draft” format. Irrespective of the outcome of your matches during the Playoffs all dice and cards you obtain during the draft process are yours to keep. Whilst Super Rares may be obtained they are all completely banned for use during the tournament, so may have a defecit to your team build, but you’ll have a Super Rare! An hour will be set aside for the Draft and Team Build process. If all players are prepared before this time games can begin early. All players are to open their draft packs and set aside all the Basic Actions (2 per player) in a facedown pile. All dice are then removed from their packaging and grouped together in the centre of the table, pairing like with like where possible, indicating to everyone how many of each character is available (2 dice per card). Note that the rules of Max Dice per card still apply. Each player will then select one card from all of their cards, place it face down, then pass their cards to the player to their right and receive a pile of cards from the player to their left. Each player once again takes a card, places it facedown, and continues in this manner until all cards have been taken. After the cards have been chosen, next the highest seed player from the DME 2020 Season will select one Basic Action, placing face down, then passes the remainder to the 2nd seed. 2nd seed selects a Basic Action, places it facedown, and passes to 3rd seed. This continues between all players, any unseeded players are chosen at random for their order in selecting a card. All players will receive 2 Basic Actions by the end of this that must be used in their team. Now all cards have been drafted players will then take two matching dice for each card they have drafted. Players must build a team consisting of 2 Basic Actions with 3 Basic Action Dice for each, 8 Character/Action Cards and with a minimum of 1 die per card. Reaching the maximum of 20 character/action dice is not required during Draft, but is highly recomended. Once all Team Builds are completed the regular tournament can begin with Swiss/Round Robin pairing.

PRIZES: All Seeded Players qualify for the prize pool that has been gained through the DME 2020 Season. These will be finalised at the end of the DME 2020 Season (November 8th is the final season tournament).

We are currently working on a second edition, with multiple rule updates and expansions.
